3:00-3:30 – Nicholas Johnson - How Trees Communicate

Nicholas Johnson - an Arborist will talk about how trees communicate with their neighbors, are interconnected by an underground fungal community and actively support each other through this network.


Nicholas Johnson is a Board Certified Master Arborist, who has been working for Seattle Parks and Recreation for the last 15 years, managing trees in parks and green spaces. He has worked with and studied trees in the Willamette Valley and Puget Sound Region for the last 24 years. When he is not working, he can be found in the Cascades enjoying the peace and solitude of nature.

4-5pm Lexy Stray – One of the Northwest’s breaking new Guitarist! Come hear music that will rock Middle Earth!
